Yesterday, the World Health Organization (WHO) listed burnout as a medical condition adding it to the International Classification of Diseases, or ICD-11 handbook that guides medical providers in diagnosing diseases. What was striking to me is that there was no mention of how burnout affects the medical community, specifically the physicians that provide care to patients facing this condition. CMA and LACMA are working together to address physician burnout and this topic will be front and center at the first-ever symposium in early Summer in Northern California where a number of chief wellness officers from Los Angeles will be attending and later, in August, CMA/LACMA will host a groundbreaking roundtable on the subject. BRG helps small medical practices get the incentives and rebates they are entitled to. With large companies routinely taking advantage of all the incentives & rebated, BRG will help educate our members about the different types of incentives that are available from the federal, state and local agencies. I will share more specifics relative to case studies and contact information next week.
