With Sincere Gratitude

On behalf of the entire LACMA organization, I wish all physicians, both members and nonmembers alike, a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday this week.

As always, we are grateful for our members who are constantly working to improve healthcare in our local communities and thankful for all that you do on behalf of your patients.

Thank you for your continued membership and support.

Physician Wellness: Chief Medical Officer Kick-Off
Almost two weeks ago LACMA hosted two days of unprecedented meetings with some of LA County's top chief medical officers to discuss physician burnout.

After a productive meeting with Dr. Laura Mosqueda, Dean, USC Keck School of Medicine, and Dr. Kathleen Nelson, recently appointed Associate Dean for Leadership and Wellness at Keck, I was joined by Dustin Corcoran, CMA CEO, for a dinner with 11 chief medical officers and executives.
I would like to thank the following physicians for helping us lead the conversation around what is working and what is not in addressing physician wellness and how LACMA and CMA will play a major role in developing programs to help solve the burnout crisis.

We will continue conversations in the coming months and are excited to have leaders from our physician community come together to formulate answers to an issue affecting physicians of all specialties and practice settings.

Deadline Looming for Membership Renewals Due by December 31st
Please also remember to renew your membership for 2019. It is critical to not only increase membership and grow our organization but also strengthen current engagement and participation. That can only happen with your continued membership.
