COVID-19 vaccine is being made available to individuals in three phases, with sub-phases and tiered sub-prioritization, until larger vaccine supplies become available.

LAC DPH is collaborating with county, city, and community partners to vaccinate healthcare workers (HCWs) in LA County who are not affiliated with an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other long term care facility (see Administration of COVID-19 Vaccine to Healthcare Workers).

This website provides information for HCW who will be vaccinated by LAC DPH and partners. We are currently offering vaccine to high and moderate risk HCW who work in the settings are listed below.

To find out when vaccines are being offered to new tiers of healthcare workers sign-up for email updates or check this website frequently.

For more information on the phases and tiers, please visit the Vaccine Prioritization & Allocation webpage.

Note:

  • High-risk employees are front-line clinical staff who provide direct patient care, and support staff with risk of exposure to bodily fluids or aerosols (includes physicians, NPs, LVNs, MAs and employees in environmental services).
  • Moderate-risk employees are staff who have indirect or limited in-person patient contact.
  • Low risk employees WITHOUT routine patient contact (such as administrative support staff) should not be vaccinated at this point. They will be offered vaccination in later phases (see Vaccine Prioritization & Allocation).
