Inspirational Leadership in the Practice of Medicine Award

In recognition of an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the practice of medicine, this award goes to an individual who inspires dedication to the practice of medicine through creating an engaging and empowering environment.

Introduction

Nominated by multiple individuals and supported unanimously and enthusiastically, Dr. Nina Yoshpe was described as being well-liked by patients and peers: an excellent surgeon, a fantastic teacher and role model for female physicians. She was a long-time member of LACMA, and remains a central figure in Long Beach Women Doctors, a supportive group of female physicians who meet regularly to network and share the news of their respective specialties. Nina S. Yoshpe, MD is a board certified Otolaryngologist and has been in private practice for 40 years. She received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed an internship and residency with several Hospitals within the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She currently practices at Southern California Ear Nose & Throat and is affiliated with Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Los Alamitos Medical Center. Dr. Nina Yoshpe belongs to a number of professional organizations, including The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American College of Surgeons and American Academy of Pediatrics.
