Physicians for a Healthy California are pleased to announce that the KidsVaxGrant program application deadline has been extended to July 15, 2022, at 11:59 PM (PT)! Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC), in partnership with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), invites VFC providers to apply as soon as possible, as the FDA has recently approved the COVID-19 Vaccine Booster dose for Children ages 5-11 years. The KidsVaxGrant program offers two separate grant opportunities based on eligibility criteria:

  • $10K to enroll in myCAvax. VFC providers newly enrolled in California's COVID-19 vaccine program (myCAvax) could be eligible for $10,000 per site to support enrollment and launching a vaccination center. Those that enroll in myCAvax from December 17, 2021, through July 15, 2022, will qualify for the grant.

  • $15K for 15 Hours. VFC providers already enrolled in myCAvax, who are expanding operating hours could be eligible for $15,000 per site to provide additional time options for working families. Eligible providers must agree to provide a one-time expansion of the hours of operations by a minimum of 15 hours total
  • Expanded hours must be outside of normal or existing clinic hours, and they must be completed within 60 days of the application’s approval (not retroactive).
