LACMA's First Physician-Only Marketplace

LACMA is developing our first physician-only marketplace that will be unveiled this Spring. The fundamental goal of the LACMA Marketplace is to provide members with a wide array of practice-specific items and lower practice expenses. Through our partnership with Sterling Healthcare Logistics (SHL), the marketplace will feature negotiated pricing with major product and service providers to reduce LACMA member expenses and increase member office efficiency.

The partnership means our members receive tremendous volume discounts thanks to pre-negotiated pricing. The result is saving members time and money. In fact, practices utilizing these resources can save between 10% and 40% on their highest cost line items.

LACMA members will get preferred pricing with vaccine manufacturers, medical supply distributors, bankcard processing companies, wireless service providers, recruitment organizations, medical waste management companies, electronic communications vendors, record storage and disposal companies, medical liability protection carriers and professional associations, to name a few.

SHL addresses supply chain challenges by leveraging technology. They've developed a software solution designed to meet the specific needs of health systems and physician offices.

As we get closer to the "go-live" date, we will test the site with our members to see what works, what doesn't and if all aspects of the site, from user interface to product fulfillment, work efficiently. Stay tuned for updates on the LACMA Marketplace for 2019!

Your Feedback is Requested!

Now that the new year is already in full swing, I'd like your input as we design our biggest conference this year.

In 2017 and 2018 we held the Saving Private Practice Consortium to help physicians in private practice.

For 2019, we need your input as to what services, products or help you need that hasn't been addressed or solved for you in the past. Is it more practice management or practice transformation assistance? Is it estate planning? Travel and leisure options? Contract help? Loan assistance? To design the most interactive and relevant conference requires your input.

Please email me or call 213-226-0393 any time to give us feedback.  This conference, to be held this Summer, needs to be designed by you.

Important Message from LACMA President, Dr. C. Freeman

Everyday, we are so appreciative for the wonderful network of physician members who share the common goal of improving healthcare delivery in LA County and beyond. More importantly, we are grateful to have the privilege of serving you with a myriad of benefits and services designed to help you thrive professionally and personally.

As we are in the midst of the crucial membership renewal period for 2019, I want to share an important message to you from LACMA's President, Dr. C. Freeman.

Watch below to hear from Dr. Freeman on the importance of membership and participation.

Many of you have already renewed your 2019 membership with LACMA and CMA and we thank you for your continued support!

Whether advocating on behalf of physicians and patients at the Capitol, offering you free reimbursement assistance, connecting you to practice resources, or supporting public health initiatives, no other organizations represent the best interests of physicians, regardless of their specialty or practice setting, like LACMA and CMA.

If you have not yet renewed your dues, you may do so online by clicking below or by calling 213-226-0393.
