Monday Rx | July 2nd, 2018 | Happy 4th of July!

As we head into the holiday week, I would like to wish all members a happy 4th of July and hope that you have some time to spend with family and friends.Over the summer, we will be making significant progress to engage multiple medical groups and health systems in LACMA's solutions platform, consisting of multiple preferred partners, to assist with everything from clinical and administrative operations, supply chain costs, revenue management, individual physician and practice benefits, physician wellness, and so much more.

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting with, Dr. Ilan Shapiro with Altamed and Linda Bradley, CEO of Centinela Hospital Medical Center. With several more meetings scheduled in the coming weeks, we have great opportunities to learn about the unique needs of different groups relative to the diverse medical communities they serve across LA County. I look forward to continued conversations to create customized solutions that will allow our group partners to fulfill their vision, mission and strategic goals while delivering value to physicians in those organizations.

On November 30, 2018, at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, we will recognize the contributions of LA County's top medical groups, medical community leaders, healthcare organizations and physicians at the Annual Los Angeles Healthcare Awards. Mark your calendar and save the date-more information will be coming soon!

We welcome all new and returning Board Members and are grateful for their commitment and dedication to the organization.

Congratulations!

In the spirit of independence, I would also like to feature a success story from a current LACMA member who is thriving in private practice.

Dr. Glenna Tolbert attended the Saving Private Practice Consortium this past Spring and soon after became a member of LACMA and CMA.

After more than 20 years of operating a state-of-the-art medical facility in Encino and healing hundreds of patients from their chronic pain, Dr. Tolbert will be opening a second location of the Tolbert Center for Rehabilitation and Wellness in Beverly Hills this month.

Both centers will operate to offer everything possible to help people be fabulous regardless of what their insurance covers.

Congratulations Dr. Tolbert! LACMA is proud to support you!

Read more here. If you have a success story to share, please let me know!

Thank you! Gustavo Friederichsen Chief Executive Officer Los Angeles County Medical Association "If it matters to our LACMA members, it matters to me.
